After completing a Franco-German bachelor’s degree at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the University of Burgundy from 2019 to 2022, I pursued a Franco-German master’s degree at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich from 2022 to 2024. During this program, I wrote a thesis on domestic violence in court cases in the Officiality of Freising in the 15th century. In this research, I identified borderline elements between legal chastisement during that period and prohibited excessive violence that could lead to marriage separation.
My role in the Capturing the Present project at the University of Lille is a continuation of the linguistic focus of my academic path. I compare temporal markers in cities within the Alemannic and Francophone areas, using Bern and Flanders as examples. For this, I examine various urban sources to identify everyday spaces and observe how they transform when routine life is interrupted by extraordinary events or circumstances
